Contract: Nether Tulloch, Laurencekirk, Aberdeenshire
Client: Private Client
Contract description: Steading Conversion
This planning application is to convert the existing farmsteading with its number of outbuildings into a residential 5 house development.
The site of Nether Tulloch Farm sits atop a hillside with the cluster of farm buildings sitting in front of a shelter belt of trees to the north with the land to the south falling steeply to the road. The incongruous mixture of traditional and modern houses and barns nestle into the backdrop of mature trees which is typical of many of the hilltop farm steadings in the surrounding countryside.
Our intention is to bring the farm buildings back to a more traditional scale with the large redundant barns being removed and relocated elsewhere on this working farm. The vision that we have is to develop the steading building to create good quality homes for local people in a traditional country setting.
